Hello from Ohio

I've played this game for awhile and was browsing around this morning and found this site and thought, what a great way to find out people think about some of the new equipment out there, courses etc. This really looks like a great forum.

Welcome aboard, Dave. I'm up in Northeast Ohio. Unfortunately, there's about 4 hours between us.

Enjoy the site. There sure are a lot of great folks here.

I'd like to add my welcome Dave. I know you will enjoy this site;some great folks here and almost any question you have about golf will be answered here.

11th--I lived in Painesville for 8 yrs--maybe you and I played some of the same courses, but I don't remember exactly where Niles is.

Great to see you aboard. My wife is from Washington Courthouse, OH. She's taught me the finer things in life like potato soup, Art Schlichter, putting an r in wash (warsh) and what persnickety is. You gotta love Ohio women.

Niles is somewhat between Warren and Youngstown, what I refer to as "The armpit of the United States." Unfortunately, our family is from here and the roots are pretty deep right now. You may have heard of the Eastwood Mall - that's in Niles. There are no courses I know of in Niles itself, but dozens of great courses within 15-20 minutes.

I'm very familiar with Painesville and even had some family members live up there for quite some time (the Delong family.)

Nice to hear from you!
