i got to my course, rain and clouds all over, no one on the 1st tee. so i went out by myself. the clouds were getting really bad so i played numbers 1, 2, and 5. ( i skipped #3,4 and was playing my way back in). i cut i front of a two-some who were now coming up behind me. on #6 , my tee shot went in... i looked around. no witnesses... the two some i had cut in front of were now approaching the the green right beside where i was standing. i told them my tee shot just went in, and would they verify that i did not run up there and drop the ball in the hole or something...they agreed it was not possible for me to put the ball in the hole. anyway i know i took one tee shot and it went into the hole. no Real witnesses except me and the guys behind me who actually did not see it.....anyway the 3 of us finished the 9 with clouds and lightning all around us. but the question is does it really count?
A: i skipped 2 holes .... B: i didnt play the back nine ...... C: no Real witnesses
SO the Question is ..... did i get a hole in one...
Did you tee it up and hit it in the hole with one shot? :nodsmiley Then there's your answer. Would it be recognized by any Hole-in-One clubs or organizations? Doubtful, but you know what you did and isn't that all that really matters?
there is a really weird thing about this ace.... first of all it's my first ace... second of all a friend of mine aced this hole in the club championships 2 days ago (we are both lefties)... and as i was addressing the ball i actually said to myself if my friend donny can do it, then i can do it...i really thought i was going to get one today...after i hit the shot i looked up and actually expected it to go in...go figure
yes you got a hole in one... but you wont be able to post your score card, because you missed holes & you were playing on your own, so unless you had completed at least the nine holes & gotten another available member to sign your card, it doesn't count to your score...
In Japan, you're expected to buy gifts (think $3000 watches) for the other players in your group. They sell Hole-in-One Insurance (with about $10k coverage).
Not only did you get a hole in one, but you avoided buying drinks or expensive gifts. Congratulations!
Sure you got a hole in one ( not official) no witnesses, theres also something that says you have to play a full round. I guess you're going to have to compare it to having a home run in spring training that doesn't count for the regular season. Maybe when you get four or five you can throw that one in too. Congratulations.
