I'm a 44yr old male who's returning to the game after a total hip replacement 4 months ago. I thought it was going to be pure **** to return but luckily I did all the therapy requested and everything turned out to be just fine. I suffered in pain for 5 yrs and quit playing tennis and discovered golf three years ago. So far I started playing 6 weeks ago from the women's tees and my buddies said no after 2 rounds. So far my last 4 rounds from the men's tees have been 89, 90, 91 and 85 - not bad for a guy who had a severe limp, never hit the range and never took a lesson. I'm a true believer that a great short game is the best equalizer in the game...LOL
My home course is Punta Borinquen Golf Course located on the northwest city of Aguadilla (it was the former Ramey Air Force Base golf course) in Puerto Rico. It is a public course with cheap rates and great views, if you want to learn more go to
www.puntaborinquengolfclub.com to check it out - rates and views are current. Many snowbirds arrive a few weeks before Christmas and leave late February, all forum members are invited to join us and discover a great value golf course in the Caribbean.
