Noobie here
New to the boards and to the game. As was the case with my previous addiction, I found that I learned the most and the quickest from daily visiting the message board that I used to call home.

Recently, I played my 2nd and 3rd rounds of golf and I am now hooked. I can see me burying myself in the threads here and learning a thing or two over the course of the next few weeks and will hopefully get a good deal of practice time in between. Any words of advice as I get started on my golfing adventure?

Welcome to GR, the best advice I can give you is be patient with yourself, this is one of the most demanding games, especially of the mind you will ever embark on to learn and love.

and I just love Virginia, I have a very close friend who lives near Amherst.
My family and I have visited his home and will be back again soon!
