Post Hello from South Florida - golf year round

Hello from South Florida! The weather here is glorious now - even though we may get another tropical storm next week. Katrina touched us with winds (we had tree limbs down all over the town), but after seeing the devastation in New Orleans, MS, and AL, we will never complain again. By the way, I found a very nice course near Palm Bay and Melbourne, East coast of Florida called The Habitat at Valkaria. No houses, pure nature and good layout and really reasonable.

The Habitat in Valkaria, FL. Check it out when you travel thru Florida. Enjoy your week, fellow golf 'nuts'.

Hi golfgal from central Fl. Enjoy The Habitant, sounds like a nice course. I play on a fairly hilly course ( for Fl.) here in Citrus County. It gets a little colder in winter than I would like it, otherwise its great.

I travel down that way on business. I'll sure keep that one in mind.

If you ever have the opportunity, the Robert Trent Jones Trail in Alabama is one great experience. Octobert is a great month to do it.

"It gets a little colder in winter than I would like it" (said mockingly in my whiniest voice) This is the time of year us Northerners get a bit testy with the I get to play golf year round crowd!

Welcome golf gal...try not to rub it in too bad when we're knee deep in snow come January and you're still playing in short sleeves!
