I took a cue from NeverThreePuttEver and have evacuated from the flood of stupidity on ESPN's golf forum. I was without internet access for a day and a half after Wilma passed south of here, and once I was back online I could not bear to suffer through the moronic posts on the "other" forum. Sure hope this group is for real!

As one of many earlier ESPN evacuees, I can tell you that you've come to what we consider the friendliest golf forum on the net...a place where golfers of all ages and ability levels gather to chat about the game we love. No flame-fests (except when Ryder Cup time comes around ...but that's all in good fun) or trolls in this place...just good, clean, family-friendly discussion! Enjoy the site, and I hope your moniker won't describe your frequency of posting here!
Thanks, stlcard_25. I chose this moniker as a description of my playing ability and frequency for the last few months. I listed my handicap as 16, as that was my last legitimate one. I'd hate to think what it REALLY is right now! Let's just say my "cost per stroke" for a round of golf has gotten lower lately - unless you factor in the lost balls!

I think. I mean it IS a virtual experience right? I mean are we really here? Or is the 'dream' part the "real" part, or vice versa?
Now if only N3P and 983K would jump full time.

Welcome to GR! I've never been part of any other forum whatsovever. So, I'm glad I found this one. I've never even been to a chat room! But this has been a good experience, nice people, smart people and above all, civil people who love the game of golf. I guess I just lucked out by finding this site. It's been a lot of fun, I hope it is for you too!
