I may already know some of you from ESPN's Golf Message Board. Some of them recommended this place to discuss all sorts of golf related topics. ESPN's board is an infestation of members that bash Tiger from dusk to dawn or bash each other, and they’re divided between Jack & Tiger. Most golf related threads are interrupted w/verbal abuse, racist comments and solicitors. I don't think ESPN does much of a job monitoring the insanity.
Which brings me here... hopefully, this forum has more to offer than ESPN’s.
One more thing... how can I edit the "Weekend Duffer" under my username?

There won't be any of that going on here, rest assured.
WELCOME!!!!!!! Sounds like you had it rough over there at ESPN. I think you will find this crowd much more likeable and agreeable. you surely shouldn't see any foul postings as the mods jump right on that. This site is one that I would have no problem with my kids visiting. You can't say that about to many Internet sites these days. Anyway, enjoy your visits and hope you decide to stick around with us. Don't worry about that "weekend duffer" tag, it goes away very quickly if you are posting.

Hello, and welcome to Golf Rewind. You won't find the language, or the flaming, here that infest other well known golf sites (ESPN and TheGolfChannel immediately come to mind) because the members and moderators work diligently to keep things civil and family friendly. Glad to have you with us.
Here's more specific info on your "Weekend Duffer" status:
How do the different user titles/post levels work?
As you accumulate more posts, you will earn different user titles. Here are the different post counts with their user titles:
0-29 posts: Weekend Duffer
30-99 posts: Golf Enthusiast
100-249 posts: Q-School
250-499 posts: Tour Card
500-999 posts: Tournament Winner
1000-1499 posts: Green Jacket
1,500+ posts: Grand Slam
If you reach 2,000 posts or more, you will have the ability to choose your own custom user title. Supporting Members also have this ability.
Sorry to break it to like this Kevkaos but...........posts in the Fun & Games section DO NOT count toward a post count.
OH MAN!!! I AM CRUSHED. I didn't know that. Oh well, if I ever make it to a Green Jacket, I can hold my head high and know that I got it the right way. I'll be to legit to quit. hehehehehe
Welcome to Golf Rewind! The members here are friendly and very helpful. You've come to the best golf forum there is and we're happy to have you join us! Hope you enjoy your time here.
Welcome, usedtobescratch. I've been away from "that other board" for so long that you probably don't recognize my username. Sounds as if it hasn't changed much. You'll like it here.
Thanks for all the replies/positive feedback fellas! I feel at home already and have much to offer this board (IMO) BTW, excellent format! I'll be in Q-school in the not too distant future and can I get that green jacket in a XXL??
I've posted a couple of hundred threads under the same call sign on the ESPN board... I'll be glad to bring some of the topics over here for some input.
Finally made it over huh? Great to have you! Now you'll be able to actually discuss all the topics you've been trying to discuss without it going to some goofy joke-a-thon!!!
