I have recently become re-addicted to golf after having been away from the game for some time because of graduate school, a new job, and two knee surgeries. Because of my long lay off, I have nearly had to re-learn some of the fundamentals -- posture, ball position, etc -- especially wedge play fundamentals.
I am from West Virginia where most of the courses are very hilly and you rarely have a flat lie in the fairway. Anyway, I am excited to be part of the forum here, and I am excited to be re-dedicated to the greatest and hardest game in the world.
Hi wshanna! Welcome to GR and welcome back to the game. I had a long layoff from playing as well. It's great to be back to it though and I hope you enjoy it here. ^^
Sarcasm is hard to judge over the internet. Just making sure you really wanted some suggestions. I have read a book or two in my time. I really enjoy a writer named Douglas Coupland -- anything by him. Also, If you want a good laugh, read a collection of David Sedaris' short essays -- he's a riot. Those are just two of the guys i've been reading lately (when i am not grading student essays or golfing!)
No harm or alarm meant. I read your bio, I figured you must have read a book or two. And I like to read, so it seamed like an innocent enough quiry.

I feel like I've been scolded. I'm more of a Tom Clancy, Stephen King sort.
