new semi-serious golfer
Hello for northwestern Pennsylvania. It's finally golfing weather up here. I'm looking for a good golf school because I'm sick of working hard to break 100 and also looking to plan a trip with some buddies to Ireland / Scotland next November. I don't know how to start with either -- any suggestions?

Golf magazine has a listing of top teaching schools. Also word of mouth can be the best way. Find a friend who may have taken a lesson and see how their improvement may have gone or how they felt as far as comfort with that pro. As far as your golf trip I am not sure on that but I do know their are strickly golf trip bookies out there. But you may be better off $$ wise to just do a lot of it yourself over the internet.

Welcome to Golf Rewind. Ireland and Scotland both have web sites for golf vacations.
