Question Lady Golfer in Keswick, ONTARIO

Hi,

I'm looking for advice, our golf tournament is June 20th and with such a short deadline I'm not certain we will get the golfers we need to make the tournament a success.

I'm from Keswick Ontario and this June my team will host the "Let's Make It History - Breast Cancer Golf Tournament" at the Pines of Georgina. http://www.karmadata.com.

We do have a pre-registration event scheduled for May 26, compliments of Shoeless Joe's in Sharon and we have been putting up posters at all local businesses. However, I am still a bit nervous about getting the golfers.

Any advice?
Karen

Karen-

Our family has run a charity event in Nashville for 3 years. A few things you may want to do...

* Take Poster/sign up sheets by area courses and chat up the pro and anyone else who will listen. Also ask about getting these courses to donate some rounds of golf for an auction or drawing.
* Get in your local paper. It's for a good cause. They'll help.
* local radio can also help get word out
* If you haven't bought 'hole-in-one' insurance for a contest, I'd do it. It's cheap and people love the idea that they have a shot at $10,000 or $20,000.
* I'd also place posters at grocery stores, business where you may have a contact...some biz's will sponsor a foursome.

Good luck.

Lower PRICE! SAVE $100

Longfellow,

What great advice, especially the hole in one, I thought someone else had to do that for me! I will look into it this week. I've got a radio spot this week on our local radio station for an interview (The New Chay 93.1), two other members are going to appear on the local TV station (Rogers) and the local newspapers are running the tournament.

PLUS, we decided to reduce our foursome rate. So now, you save $100 when you book a foursome, which brings the price down to $400.

PLUS, PLUS, we just got another item to add to the auction, a Skydiving jump, for the adventurous!!

When booking online, if you don't see the new rate just quote "Golf Rewind Foursome 4 $400"
