Hi from Colorado

Just thought I'd say hi, and get rid of that "Introduce yourself" banner at the top of the page.

Grew up in Southwestern Indiana/Northwestern Kentucky, and was down to a 2-handicap in high school. I quit golf for a few years while going to school in St. Louis. Picked up the game again my senior year (1999) and enjoyed the St. Louis golf courses after graduation. Moved to Colorado in 2001, and I'm glad to call this great state my home. I mean, where else can you hit the ski slopes in the morning, drive an hour, then enjoy a round of golf in the afternoon playing in shorts?

I was a member of the Kennedy Men's Club for two years, and was back down to a 6-handicap, but quit for a year after starting a family. Then I organized a company golf league last year, and haven't looked back.

I haven't played many golf courses outside where I've lived (the only highlight is Torrey Pines South), but I also take my sticks to Sweden in the summers and hack my way through the forests while avoiding the moose.

Have you been to Deer Creek? Nice course, but a little spendy on the weekends. I like Lone Tree too.
I've never played Deer Creek or Lone Tree--both are a tad on the spendy side for me. But, when I first moved to Denver, I worked from home and hit the Lone Tree golf range every day during my "lunch hour." The following year, I discovered the range membership at Meridian Golf Club and enjoyed that immensely.

The only two "spendy" courses I have plans to play this summer are Arrowhead and Fossil Trace.
