Hello from Finland!

Hi everyone!
I´m a 20-year-old university student from Turku, Finland.
Took part on a beginner course this spring and now I´m totally hooked on golf.
Played my first round yesterday (got three pars ).

Welcome to Golf Rewind, GTTMakkonen. I've spent a little time in Helsinki. Great place and country. I'd love to visit, again.

Well, Finland has it´s pros and cons.
It´s almost the middle of June and we´re still playing with winter rules.

Don't you get 24 hours of sunlight in the summer? I'm moving to Finland!

Only the northern parts of Scandinavia get 24 hours of sunlight. That said, even in the southern parts (like where Helsinki, Stockholm, and Oslo are located), there really isn't a true "nighttime" from about mid-June to mid-July. It kind of gets dark around 1-2am (but it's just light enough so that you can go out walking without the use of a flashlight) for an hour or two, then it starts getting brighter again.

Just remember: all of this light in the summer means you'll get none of it in the winter!

Yeah, I lived in Berlin for a while, where the sun comes up at 9 and is down by 3 in the afternoon in the winter. I know the feeling!
