Greets, ya'll

Glad to find this place.... I'm Ted. 1/2 of a DINK family. Late 20s and located in Memphis. I'm a freelance musician and part-time college prof. I took up the game again after my wedding in Feb. Love the game. Wife tolerates it.

What a nice surprise. You know, I'm not exactly sure what led me to start golfing. A couple of guys I went to college with were pretty avid players, so that's how I wound up getting on the course the first few times. I picked it back up when a buddy of mine suggested that we blow off work for a day and go play. Even though my clubs were **** and my mechanics were AWFUL, I wound up hitting a few nice shots. I wondered what would happen if I invested some bread on lessons and gear. Now, I'm handicapping 17 for this season and loving the **** out of it.

Yep, it's those "few nice shots" that hook us for life!

Good luck with your game!

dblbassted,

"Wife tolerates it." That's the key. How long and how well she tolerates your new hobby will be a major factor on how well...and how often you play! I'm one of the fortunate ones whose wife encourages me to play....most of the time!! LOL Play well!
