My daughter's fiancee asked me if I wanted to see "something cool" on my laptop and downloaded Stumble Upon. I have come across some duds, but also some really neat sites, including golf sites like this one. I think Golf Rewind is going to be fun. I also stumble on cooking sites and have found some awesome recipes.
StumbleUpon's networking features are very cool. You can make blog entries with photos, look at what others with similar interests like for websites, music, video, chat with them, look at their blog entries, etc. Cool stuff.
I just wonder how many sites are in the database and how many people are using the system. What I would like is for such a service to use Google's database of websites...Google will eventually do this and maybe buy out StumbleUpon.
Welcome. You will definitely enjoy this. The one and only time I teed it up in deep south TX was at Weslaco. Played at Tierra Santa and must have been a drive and an 8 iron from Mexico.

And let me guess...perfect weather and temperature for golf! LOL! Did you sweat?
New to the forum, just stumbled across it on Firefox Stumble. This looks like fun!
Welcome! I'm from SE TX myself. (Living in Colorado now) Port Neches (Right next to Beaumont) was my home for many years. This is a great forum. Hope you like it and stick around.

There was some sweating going on. I was sent down there to have a face to face meeting with a manager at my old company. Everyone, himself included, knew he was going to be fired. He said, "If you're coming all the way down here, bring your sticks...I know there's nothing personal in your visit." We had a great round, then grabbed dinner. He was fine. It also kept the mood of things very up. That was a few years ago and we still stay in touch.

Sweating? Sweating is a way of life in that part of the country. The humidity is so bad that you walking around half the year breathing sweat. But young men there grow up on two-a-day practices in full pads in August. They learn how to manage sweat early on.
