Haha, and if you're 23, you're the REALLY old guy.
Tyrath, you had mentioned the Greek system is going downhill, I guess I don't know how it was when you were a freshman, but it really took a nose dive in '98/99. A pledge in Pikes passed away from, you know what, and they really cracked down. It slowly got a little better but not much. After I graduated, I think I heard several houses getting kicked off, like SAE, delta chi (maybe??), and a few others I don't recall. I don't know much about your house but I did see it during formal rush. Great location and guys seemed nice.
Guys, sorry for jacking this thread into the Greek system, but always fun to reminisce and talk to someone from your almer mater.

Yeah just teasing him a bit ...part of its envy, but honestly I don't think I'd want to be that age again - you learn a lot by the time you are 40 !

Some of those are coming back, SAE i believe is. Theta Chi is back, but Phi Delts got kicked off for hazing allegations...or at least lost their house. But overall I would say it is getting stronger again, but like I said, there are a ton of regulations and silly rules getting enforced. I'm sure they have some purpose from some point that a young kid like myself wouldn't understand...but that doesn't mean I have to like them.
My house is most definetely a lot different than when you saw them. one of the reasons you pry never heard of them was because they stunk. but hey, the location IS nice...
Thanks for the welcomes, if anyone is planning on being dn my way lemme know maybe we can play a round at one of the local courses, there are 3 within decent distance, one is semi private the other 2 municipal, one of which is under new management after years of neglect, but is on its way bk. It is a great layout and as a HS and college aged lad i played it quite a bit as my dad and I did all the layout of the course and surrounding sub divisions.

I had definitely heard of your house. I always felt Jordan and 3rd street houses more or less kept to themselves though, so that is why I am not totally familiar with you ... plus I didn't really know anyone from your house. I was a bio major and I only know of one guy that was consistently in some of my classes. Hope you've had a good experience living in a frat though. It was nice for the 2 years but looking back, I wonder how I managed to live with 90 other drunken, sex-driven (oops, did I say that?), business majors (ha, gotta take a cheap shot) who quite frankly weren't the cleanliest types of people. As sad as it sounds, definitely worth the experience.
The 3rd Street houses definetly are sort of withdrawn from the extension ones...well the extension ones are really literally withdrawn from everyone else for that matter. I love the frat. It is a bunch of messy, sex-driven, drunks but I don't think I would have it any other way. It's college. It's supposed to be stupid...sort of... just stinks when I'm studying for those delightful business courses.
