Hole in one today!

Just shot a hole in one today! Hole 5 160 yards at Poplar Creek golf course in San Mateo, CA. It's amazing! Hit it with my 5 wood.
Took some pictures and visited the clubhouse afterwards and they asked me to fill out some paperwork. They said it will faxed to the San Francisco Chronicle and San Mateo Times. Great!

Yes, I'm still excited. Just started playing about 9 months ago. So sweet!
I finished the game with a score of 87. Cool!

Congrats!

Warning, warning. If that's your first post, things will go downhill from here. Most of us are talking about how we'll feel after our FIRST ace. You've got yours out of the way. Nice going.

Awesome...a hole-in-one and an 80's round after playing golf for 9 months.

They do the same thing with the newspaper here. I never got to see mine, though hehe.

Welcome to the forum. That is one heck of a first posting. You have set the bar pretty high for your future postings. Congratulations on the ace.

Yes, it's my first post but believe me I'm always online on GR. Great website! I guess I could say I get more information here and in the process accelerated my golf education. Doing a search on hole in one here, I found out you can register it and I did at www.holeinone.com and at the PGA website.

But thanks for the warning, SellMate! Now, I have my eye on breaking 80 hopefully before the year ends. I can't stop smiling, I think I'm going to play everyday this week!

Thanks, everyone!

Please tell us that you saved the ball. I don't want to feel foolish for saving my first birdie ball if you didn't save your ace ball.

I did including the tee. Now I'm surfing the web to find a good way to put them on display! Come to think of it, yes, I should have saved my first birdie ball as well.

Thanks!

Congrats, I am still waiting for my first hole in one. I have not even seen one live in my life and I have been playing for roughly 16 years lol
