Welcome to the board Nickus. What is the fine print in your warning?
As to the tournament nerves: Just keep playing in these tournaments, and accept your nervousness. If you play often enough the nerves may eventually dissappear. And if they don't dissappear you will eventually learn how to play with them.
A strong second to straightshooter. I had the same problem in my teens. It will probably work out in a few years (or sooner). Practice can help to calm your nerves. If you are confident you can hit a shot, chances are you will and time on the range and putting green can give you this confidence.
Regarding playing "against" those other kids who are really good. You're a 9 handicap, which isn't exactly a bad golfer. Try to remember that you're playing against the course, not against those other kids. Don't worry about what they're doing and focus on your own game. This is difficult to do sometimes, but if you can forget about them, you'll start doing much better.
Hey there, I'm 15 too. I haven't played in many tournaments, but I know when I think too much I mess up, or if I dwell on other bad shots. As the greats say, the only shot you need to worry about is not the last one, or the next one. It is the one that is right in front of you.
