Newbie here

Hi All,
Thought I would introduce myself. The thought of playing golf had never entered my mind until this year. Now at the ripe old age of 32 I am trying to learn this very frustrating game.
I started drag racing/street racing in high school ,sold all of that stuff and got into motocross. Got out of that and into street bikes which turned back into street racing . Got married, had a baby(the absolute best thing in the world),and sold all of my toys.
Played softball until my ankle got destroyed , then started bowling.
That was pretty fun until a friend talked me into a round of golf. Got to the course about 6:00 in the evening. Slight breeze,70 degrees, nobody else around, quite as a library except for the birds. I WAS HOOKED !!!!!!!!!
Its all I want to do now. Even take my 2 year old son along . Its great!!
I know you probably don't care about any of this but this seems like a cool place and I just wanted to share.

golf at 6 pm is about as relaxing as it gets. after we are done with work in the summer we jump on the course around that time with a 12 pack and just mess around and make up stupid games and it doesn't matter. no one pressing you from behind..can play 3 balls a piece if you want. other great thing is getting out on the course around 4:30 in late june w/ minimal people around and playing 27 holes. you will sleep quite soundly after that..especially if you walk.
