a womens set is not really made for shorter people. head changes, shaft and grip changes. just get some mens clubs that are made to your specs

I would recomend, going to a shop near you and trying a couple out, maybe look for a package deal were everything comes in one set. You can get really good starter kits, i only replaced mine couple months ago, 2 years later, you could use ladies, clubs but you could also use mens. If you have finished growing then any club that suits you, and if you are still growing you should get the mens. Golf shops have some great offers going.

Welcome aboard. You'll love this fine site. My Grandpa was 5' 6" and played with regular length men's clubs. I'll second crawford's recommedation. Nothing beats a club fitting session from a PGA pro, whether at your course or a golf shop.
