I live in Indianapolis now, but I moved up from Kentucky in the fall of '05.
I'm a minister, and before moving to Indianapolis, I only played one or two charity scrambles a year. Then I fell under the influence of some evil, evil church members, who got me out on the course one or two times a week..
I'm a duffer with some knock-off clubs from a guy out of his garage, but, hey, they play better than the Wilson women's clubs I got in a yard sale that I had been using. (persimmon woods and forged irons. . . . the Laura Baugh model, if you must know. Sheeesh!) My two buddies and I use scramble rules, so I don't know what kind of a handicap I carry. (Probably so heavy I CAN'T carry it!). One by one I'm having them re-shafted (A flex), regripped (GolfPride undersized . . . OK, I'm short) and SST pured. Now there's no excuse, is there?
Welcome fellow Hoosier! Have you been able to get out lately? I live near South Bend and we've rescheduled at least 4 times in the last two weeks (I don't enjoy cold weather golfing) - wrong part of the country to live in if you love this game!

I'm 15 min. from South Bend, Ind. I also just got back to playing this yr. because our sister church had a scramble and I borrowed some clubs to play. Now I have bought all new equipment and play just as often as I can. So welcome. I have gotten some vary good advice here, and I can use all the help I can get since i've just started to play again.

Well Well Well Looks like I may have found a friend!! haha...I live in Indianapolis as well!! What church are you a Minister at? Looks like we are going to have to get you out on the golf course some more!! And if you need some new sticks, I might be able to help ya out there too!! But most importantly lets PLAY SOME GOLF!!
