Having just spent a happy week golfing in Tampa, you are very welcome.
Where do you play?

I've played some golf in the Tampa area. I've played The Claw at USF a half-dozen times or so.

Grew up just outside Tampa myself, in Temple Terrace, and familiar with a # of the courses from playing on my high school team.
LOL, The Claw @ USF for me =
But, it is pretty affordable at least.

I agree, it is a difficult course, but a piece of junk compared to most places. When my buddy was at USF we used to think it was the greatest thing. Now we go back every once in a while, for old time sake. Each time we play it now, we wonder why we bothered.
As a student there, it cost him $50/month, all the golf he could play...

Played it on my last day because it was close to hotel and easy to get to airport from. Otherwise it was in poor condition and unimpressive. After playing World Woods,Eagles TPC Tampa and Legacy ,it was a let down.

World Woods in Brooksville is definitely excellent!!
Definitely recommend it to anyone in the area.
I think the most run-down course I played in the Tampa area was Rogers Park... pretty cheap, however. I read it has been renovated since I last played way back, though, so maybe it is better now.
