Golf Pro in California...

I wonder why it never occurred to me to find a golf chat website. Kudos to the golfrewind team.

I've been in the golf business for the last 8 years, both on the manufacturer side and as a golf pro. I love the game and I've had an amazing time, but there's always been an underlying desire to really get out there and compete to see if I'm good enough to make "it". For years, I've been able to successfully eliminate reality and common sense when it comes to seriously considering it, but now I'm at the point where I'm thinking of either risking it all to hit the road and really play or completely start over in another profession so I can make an actual living.

Having seen so much golf up close and personal, I have a pretty good understanding of what it takes. There've been a number of people who've told me I have what it takes but it seems to me that the few who've told me I don't dominate my thoughts.

I guess it comes down to what I think...

Now or never, right?

Because you live in California and can golf pretty much all year-round?

Welcome...even if you try and don't make it, at least you will have tried, right? At least then you won't have to wonder and you'll feel better for having tried. And who knows you may hit it big. Good luck and welcome to the board.

i have a friend who plyed two years on the european tour , he gave up bercause he could not putt well enough. he feels to win you need to be caperable of only taking 28 putts per round.
