Hello all, I have been lurking here since last spring when I first started getting serious about Golf. I have played before then but decided to get serious about it after giving up racing and decided Golf would be my new hobby. I have been hooked ever since. In the short time I have been playing I have wen't from 110+ to staying between 90 and 95 on a regular basis. I have broke 90 a couple times but cannot do it very often. I have already hit an amazing shot that I will probaly never top in my lifetime. It was a double eagle on a par 5. I dropped it in the cup with my 5 wood from 190 yards out. That was something I will never forget, anyway I look foward to being apart of this group here and glad I finally decided to register.
What's up, Foot? Welcome to the forum and congrats on the double eagle! That's the absolute rarest of rarities in golf. There are several other people from the greater N.O. area on this forum; whereabouts are you from in the area? Hope to see you here more often, and maybe get together for a round. GEAUX SAINTS!!!!!!
Thanks for the welcome. I'm actually from Marrero(moving to Luling soon) I just say NO b/c everyone knows where thats at. I usually play at Barriere or Stonebridge mostly with occasional visits to Brechtel. Nice to meet a local here, hopefully we could hit a round one day.

You likely pass right by my place on the way to Stonebridge! I live in those Carribbean looking apartments about a quarter mile from the entrance to Stonebridge on Wall Blvd. - play there all the time! You will hear me rant about it on here from time to time - too much OB for me! Every time I go to play Barriere it's crowded, and I stay away from Brechtel as much as possible...that's a rough course.
Moving up the river - closer to Belle Terre though, that's not a bad course! And closer to those nice courses between here and Baton Rouge - The Island, Pelican Point.

Those apartments look pretty cool. Kinda looks like a mini Beverley Hills or something. I will be playing Stonebridge Wed morning, that course usually kicks my *** pretty good. When I want to boost my confidence I go play Brecthel. I usually can stay under 90 there. I will be moving to Lakewood in Luling soon, so I will probaly be playing Willowdale a good bit.

Hope you hit them straight today (if you didn't, you likely took out some windows on that course!). I spent my morning at the doctor. Wanted to get out and play yesterday, but a bug has kept me off the course for 2 weeks now. In fact, I've played only played 2 rounds since October, and one of those was a scramble. I used to have so much free time!
Never played Willowdale, though many people say the greens there are some of the best around. I kind of like the greens at Audubon. Played a lot at Lakewood in Algiers pre-Katrina - they were planning on closing later in '05 anyway.
