Smile Hello form Bossier City, LA

Well, I have been on the board for a while and have a few posts already, but never formally introduced myself. I am in the Air Force with just over 100 days till retirement. I have been playing golf for just over 4 years. My brother-in-law got me hooked on the game while I was visiting him in Hawaii, what a place to get hooked. I began playing with an old set of MacGregor clubs he gave me. I then purchased the original Wilson Deep Reds, and liked them for quite a while. After about 2 years of those, I decided to get a new set, and bought a barely used set of the original Adams Idea irons with steel shafts. I have had those clubs for about 2 years now, and just bought the exact same clubs except with stiff graphite shafts. We will see how they work for me. I know the clubs don't make the golfer, and that I definitely have some faults, poor grip bad swing plane, but I still have that one shot every time I play that makes me come back. I got down into the 90's consistently, with lots of playing time, but had to cut back due to the military, so now I am floating in the low 100's, and struggling/trying hard to get under 100. Will keep posting here and looking for more ideas to improve my game. Thanks to all and good posting.

Welcome aboard. I'm retired Army and the opportunities to play military courses all over the US are wonderful. Best wishes for you and your game.

I am still up in the air about my future home. I wouldn't mind staying here, but, I am looking at San Antonio, DFW, or as a long shot, my brother in law still lives in Hawaii and has offered to let me stay with them. Only problem with that is I don't think I can ever afford to buy a house there...

Welcome to GR! You may be one of the only people on this board who know's where Plain Dealing is! That's where I grew up, so I am familiar with Le Bossier. Glad you are here!
