I have been lurking for a while on this forum and finally decided to introduce myself. Thanks for all the great reading to feed my newest addiction to golf!
I have been playing casually for about 15 years (now 31 yo) and am taking golf more seriously now than I ever have. I went on a trip to Myrtle beach with some old HS buddies last June and have been addicted ever since!!
I have been a mid 90's golfer all my life and have now got my average score down to about 85. I have been playing about 3 times a week for the last 6 months and I just cant get enough!! In the last 2 months I have broke 80 for the 1st time ever in my life with a 79 and an out of my mind 75 (40/35) I shot one day :)
I am in New Smyrna Beach, FL just about 20 minutes from Daytona beach. I dont have too many playing partners so if anyone in the area is looking for someone to play with feel free to drop me a PM :)
Thats all for now, happy holidays everyone :)

New Smyrna Beach is very nice... go down there in the warmer months fairly often; good fishing and boogie boarding there (despite the sharks, lol!), and nice to be able to drive right on the beach.
Im in Colorado right now visiting some family and I want to play some golf!!! Unfortunately I dont think thats going to happen because of the 2 feet of snow we are expecting :( I cant wait to get back home and get on the course. Only 2 more days, only 2 more days, only 2 more days.... Well that is if I dont get stuck up here in the mountains.
Paka - Yeah I love NSB, but I agree, the sharks do kinda freak me out sometimes :)
Welcome to Florida!....you'll really enjoy our warm winters and year round golfing. The ony downside of living here in Sarasota, is the expensive housing situation and, of course, the threat of hurricanes. But I guess you learn to live with both.
