Y'ello,
I'm a late starter when it comes to golf, as I'm only just getting into it properly. I played a few rounds when I was in my teens but had never looked into things like swing technique and equipment, I just picked up my brother's cheap clubs and went out and hit it as hard as I could, resulting in scores well over 120.
I'm now just about to turn 24 and have decided to take it up properly, after being invited to play in a friendly tournament with a few friends this coming April.
I've been out to the range a few times, but don't yet have the confidence to venture onto a course as I'm still topping way too many, but I've been reading up on how to improve, having purchased a couple of fairly cheap cavity back Dunlop clubs to practice with and will soon be talking to my local Pro to get me going down the right track.
I've signed up here to pick up on hints and tips and to look into getting a good, inexexpensive set of beginner clubs.
Hopefully in a few years, I'll be the one giving out advice.
