Hey, I'm 17 years and I just started playing golf this past may. My dad got a membership to a local course so I thought what a great opportunity to finally get serious about playing golf. I have since then progressed to where I can shoot in the 80's and my handicap is now a 15. I also want to say this is a great forum here and I hope I can contribute to it.

Welcome to the site...ATL is where I started playing golf as well...great golfing city...I used to live in Tucker, right next to Heritage GC...where are you playing?

I was in Atlanta not to long ago played a course right off 75 south of the city... now if I could only remember the name of the place!

Man! You don't know how hard it is to welcome somebody with a Gators username and avatar! (just kidding!)

What course did your dad join? I'm out east of Atlanta between Conyers and Loganville.

Flomarilius, There are a few courses just south. Brown's Mill? Lake Spivey? How far south were you?

He got the canongate membership. My home course is Hamilton Mill which I play most of the time.

Yeah I'm a big gator fan. I was born down in florida and have been a gator fan forever. Its hard being a gator fan up here in bulldog country

Don't worry...you have huge representation in the area...seems like there are almost equal amounts of Gator fans as Bama, Auburn and Dawg fans around there...
