I also have ties to Ft. Myers. My wive's family lives there and we are down there at least once per year, usually this time of year to get warm.

Her grandfather is a ranger at this private course called Lexington. I play there usually 3 or 4 times each visit. Another course I really liked in Ft. M is called Grandeza.
My full time employee where I work is a member there. I was supposed to play there a few weeks ago, but something came up and didn't get the chance. Someday. As for Grandezza. Great course. It is down the road from me.

Thanks for the message!

I still enjoy competing in the Pub Links so I have maintained my amateur's status. Once I'm done with that I will prob take the PAT. I started writing about my thoughts on golf last year. I would enjoy and appreciate listening your ideas. Feel free to start a threat on something and we can all chime in and get your perspective on things. Any suggestions on where we can start, i.e. putting, chipping, irons, driver, course management, equitment, fitness, metal side of the game?

Good to have another expert around. I recommend you visit the golf tip section, there are golfers there (me) always asking questions and needing advice, input is always appreciated. Plenty of other good golfers here though so no worries you haven't stumbled into a beginning golf forum by mistake.

Thank you everyone for their kind words. Michael, I am actually associated with Bonita Bay down in Naples, Florida. I live in Fort Myers however.

It is tough to get on the private courses without knowing someone. There is also Tiburon where Greg Normans tournament is played. That is a Ritz Carlton place, very upscale, but public. Let me know how much more info you want.
Cool man, thanks for the recommendations. My firend says he thinks that Heritage Palms has gone Private recently, like in the last month. Do you know if this is true?

Thanks

There was rumors. However I dont know off the top of my head if they did or not. I know people that have played there in the last month. I dont think they have enough members to take that 36 private and have the money to have it amongst themselves... I could be wrong.
