I play in a fun competitive club that plays at a lot of local courses in tournaments once a month. My first year I even won the club championship and the Vice President's flight in the SCGA tournament of club champions!

I play with mostly Taylor Made clubs but my putter is a Titleist Cameron Newport 2.5. As of today, my handicap index is 15.8. Obviously, I hope to get it lower as the season progresses. I don't really take lessons but I read a lot and have gone to see a pro to get my slice fixed when I was in a slump. I should practice more than I do but I prefer getting my practice in an 18-hole round. I just like to play!

I'm looking forward to browsing through the forums and participating in discussions.
Hi, Is that the SCGA as in SoCal or S.Carolina? Anyway I love talking golf. I played golf at UCLA 78-82 #1 ranked team. Didn't make the big time and now play almost as well lefty. I did this to retain my enthusiasm for the game and as you know when you keep improving the motivation high is great. That's why I like talking golf with other golf enthusiasts like yourself. Hope to hear back from you and if your are SoCal girl where do you play? Take it easy - Tom

So-cal (dude)! I live in Ventura County and play all the surrounding public courses. The SCGA Tournament of Champions I played was at El Camino Country Club in Oceanside. That was fun!

Wow, switching to lefty just to keep it interesting and getting just as good at it from the other side? That's impressive!

Thanks to everyone for the welcomes!
