Makin' the Move

Hi, all.
I am new at forums and blogs, but not at life. I am retired US Navy and soon to be retired Boeing engineer. We will "snowbird" between Bellingham, WA and Scottsdale , AZ in retirement.

I have always enjoyed golf, but never made the time for it. My dad was a scratch golfer most of his life, my son shoots low 80s and my 16 year old grandson plays to about a 3 handicap. On a "good" Sunday I shoot bogie golf.

I am looking to buy a new set of clubs for retirement and I am leaning toward Big Bertha 2006 irons (5 through SW) and a 3 and a 4 Callaway X hybrid. I am currently playing a Big Bertha driver and a Golfsmith 3,5, and 7 wood with a set of Wilson Fatshaft irons. I am open to suggestions.

Looking forward to an education.

Callaway's are the most "user friendly" clubs out there. You can't go wrong with them. I spent 11 years in the Navy back in the olden days when the world was flat. Welcome to GR.

Welcome to Golf Rewind, Sailor Jerry!

You may want to repost your question about golf-clubs in the Golf Equipment Forum: It might generate more replies there!
