New to forum from California
Background- I'm a 33 year old, 6'2 220lb athletic high school teacher, and coach from So Cal. I coach baseball and football at a local high school. I've been a casual golfer for about 12 years. Averaging 10-15 rounds a year over that time frame. I hit usually upper 90's by the book...sometimes lower and sometimes higher. I've always had some great shots but definitely have my share of bad shots. I've always credited my inconsistencies on my lack of playing. My future father in law bought me a fusion driver for Christmas maybe hoping that I would get more into it. Well it worked, the first round with the new club I hit 3 drives over 250 straight as an arrow. Other mishits were much better also. Hence, during my spring break I played 5 rounds of golf trying to see if this is something I want to take more seriously. I broke out the pocket book and bought some stuff on ebay and am completely hooked. I talked to the Golf Coach at the HS to see if he wanted an assisstant to watch the kids and he said yes, it comes with the perk of playing for free Mon through Thursday, so it looks like I may drop the baseball coaching gig next year. Everyone that has ever played with me says the same thing that I look very athletic and more playing will result in lower scores. Anyways I'm looking to improve my game, listen to more experienced players and what they have to say, and improve my overall knowledge of the sport. That's why I joined the forum.
