Howdy from Texas

I'm trying to learn more about golf and the desires of golfers, to help me service my clients better. I am a travel agent (20 years experience) and I'm taking a course to become a certified Golf Specialist.

Even though I'm not much of a golfer myself (no time and money with teenager about to go to college), I understand the love of the game. My sister and brother-in-law are retired avid golfers, and she didn't even take it up until just a few years ago. I know there's still time for me to learn better, in the meantime, I'm learning alot about golf courses and golf vacations around the world.

Just wanted to say hi, and maybe I can answer a few questions about your travels.

Welcome to Golf Rewind, golftrip. Great to have you here. I see by some of your posts in the Hawaii forum that you know a lot about the area. Look forward to hearing more from you in the future.

to Golf Rewind. We'll make a golfer out of you! Even if you don't have the time to fully engage in golf right now, go hit a bucket at the driving range once in a while, to get started!

Victory, Man, I'm jealous!!!! I lived in Honolulu for a few years in the late 80's and really miss it. I worked for American Airlines back then and met my husband while on vacation in Waikiki. He was stationed in the Navy at Pearl Harbor. After a whirlwind courtship, we got married and I moved there. I was only there almost 2 years, and I've only been back once since thenl When I lived there, I did go to Maui a few times. I just love the Hawaiian islands and love arranging travel for people going there. Are you a native Hawaiian? If not, what brought you to HNL?

I know I'm not suppose to solicit on this forum, but I'd like to find out who I can talk to about arranging some group golf vacations and cruises for the forum members. If you know who to talk to, please let me know.

Straightshooter.....I do live down the street from a driving range (less than 2 miles). But it's also next to the lake where me and my husband are avid boaters. Golf course, lake, golf course, lake? Any other boaters out there?
