back again

Hi all. Just to reintroduce myself. I'm a long time lover of the game and have even been accused of being married to it

Unfortunately I've had some serious illness over the past few years and old illnesses have recurred. My immune system was damaged by my cancer treatment so my ashma and sinustitis have retuned with a vengeance.

I really have to say that the E uropan Tour have been extremely supportive and all the long years watching the game have been repaid with interest.
I'm celebrating 50 years as a golf spectator this June (well really over a 3 week period May 17 to June 5 starting with the Irish Open, Wentworth where I hope to celebrate with Peter Alliss ( a week early but who cares got his autograph that day and then at the AIB Irish Seniors open which is nearest the date)I have lots to celebrate as I've met so many people, famous, infamous and ordinary and enriched my life so much because of them all.

Re: back again

Welcome back! I am very sorry to hear of your health problems, but I pray for your speedy and complete recovery!

I love watching the European Tour on The Golf Channel as I get to see many talented players that I don't often have the chance to see. This past weekend at the Telecom Italia Open, I was particularly impressed with young Nick Dougherty. Although the tournament was eventually won by Mr. Fernandez-Costano, Mr. Dougherty displayed some wonderful shot-making.

I found myself rooting for Francesco Molinari as he was the 'hometown' favorite.

Again, welcome back, and post often!

- Bama

Re: back again

Welcome back, Anne...so sorry to hear about your health issues...here's hoping that respiratory clears up soon. We're glad you're back so you can share your up close and personal encounters with the pros, especially the Euros...always nice to hear inside-the-ropes, first-hand accounts of happenings across the pond. Oh, and we always have someone here needing a little help with the course between the ears. Looking forward to hearing your stories, always entertaining.

back. Best wishes on your health problems.

And, we certainly can use some more "Euro coverage" here, so keep the stories coming.
