I had two of the best ball striking rounds ever for me this week. This was after reading up on the "stack and tilt" here in the instructional forum. I can't say that I fully adopted the style, and I only hit about 50 range balls before trying it on the course, but the key points worked very well for me. I have always hit my driver and fairway woods well, but my mid-long iron play has always been my weak point. Keeping more weight on my left foot and maintaining my spine angle on the backswing has increased the solidity of contact big time. I ended up shooting 78 and 76 on consecutive days, the course stats are 72.2/131, 6936 yards. I normally shoot in the low 80's on this course.
Thanks GolfRewind, I am already better because of this place!
Everything that has r7 on it in my bag is fantastic. TM makes some really good stuff. I was using the normal r7 425 driver in 9.5* last year, but I just couldn't keep the flight down (even with the cartridges set for low). The TP model has a much better shaft in it, and the 7.5* really puts a good boring flight on the ball. I am about 25 yards longer with the TP than I was with the normal. The TP irons are great... They look like a blade at address, but have a slightly bigger sweetspot. Awesome feel when hit solid, if I didn't know they were cast, I would swear they were forged.:)
Thanks again for the welcome fellas. I forgot to mention that I am a auto tech specializing in forced induction, so if anyone ever needs any help with a turbo setup or a car in general, shoot me a PM and I will be glad to try and help.
