Hello from Ohio

I just wanted to stop by to say hello and get some helpful golf advice. I have a 25+ handicap and would like some advice for lessons to have my game revamped. What do i look for when talking to an instructor? Should i take lessons at the beginning, middle, or end of the season? I am not new to the sport, just wanting to take it more seriously and stop loosing so many golf balls.
I plan on making a video of me driving a few balls and will put it on youtube and posting it on here for your viewing pleasures, lol.

Thanks

to GR...by all means, we're interested in seeing your swing. I'm sure some others will weigh in here on what to look for in an instructor but here's a few things:

He should be asking you quite a few questions...like, how long have you played golf, what do you shoot now, do you want a new swing or just fix the old one, what are your goals? That's just a few...if the first question he asks is, "Do you have any money?" then politely pass. Also, he should probably want to see you swing before he accepts you as a student. We'll accept you here regardless of what your swing looks like so post that babay.

Also, I would take lessons when you'll be able to spend some time practicing the tips/swing thoughts/instruction that the teacher offers.

Re: Hello from Ohio

Hi and welcome to the forum from the home of golf

You should look for an instructor that will listen to you as much as you will to him.
