Next time I go to NYC I am going to bring a couple of irons to empty a bucket at the famed 'Chelsea Piers' driving range. Do you practice there?
I love going to the driving range at Chelsea Pier. It's especially fun if you're up on the top level. From there you can hit the Hudson. I never have, but have seen others do it even though they ask you not to. They have loaner clubs there if you don't want to bring yours with you. It is expensive, but it's really not about that. Word of advice - It can get very crowded on weekends, but the bar is right next to it if you need to wait. It also has it's own parking if you're driving into the city - expensive too, but very convenient.
Thanks for the info guys! The prices are pretty steep, but that won't stop me: It would be a one-time thing for me, and last time I went to NYC I seemed to 'lose' around $20.- per hour anyways, no matter what I did or where I was!
The range is literally a pier on the Hudson River so your options are wide open. Keep in mind that the nets are 4 stories high, but I'm sure you're up to the challenge. 10 points for each boater.
