Hello everyone!!! I am a brand new to golf. My wife got me 6 lessons for xmas, took my 1st one about 2 weeks ago. I've been on the driving range about 3 times since. I have a very nasty slice, and i like to hit ground balls to the 2nd baseman. Hopefully my instructor can cure me of these problems. My brother is a very good golfer along with my father-in-law. I hope i can learn a few things from them as well.

In fact tonight i went to the range with my father in law to hit a bucket and i hit the ball pretty well for me. I would say i hit a decent number of straight balls, instead of my normal slice. I hit a fair amount of just bad shots too. As i kept hitting more balls my convidence started to build and i was hitting the ball further. I am well aware that when i play my 1st round it will be very different that hitting at the range.

I am excited to start playing, i hope i can hold my own we i finally play my very 1st round.
