Left Hand Pain

I went golfing after a month or so lay off and I hit the ground( harder than you should). It hurt the rest of the day but it was a bearable pain and i finished the round. It is now a month and a half later and I have not played one round of golf since, because every time I have tried to swing a club the same pain comes back to the point of I can not even swing the club. The pain is in my left hand it seems to be in my ring finger bone on top of my left hand. I can do every other normal function without pain except to swing a golf club. I need help, whether it is an excercise or what ever it takes to make it better. Is there anyone out there that has experienced this and what can I do????? I MISS THE GAME OF GOLF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE HELP

Welcome to GR. Shaderunner and I agree. Unless you have xray vision and an MD after your name, get thine hide to a doctor.

Re: Left Hand Pain

I have developed the same pain though not as severe over the last couple of weeks. Doesn't bother me dur the round but is sore afterwards. I have a slightly strong grip and do hit the ground hard a couple of time per round. Being 56 doesn't help I guess.

Put a little ointment and wrap some gauze around it...maybe some absorbine jr. or the double breaking reverse finger stretch...

Is that what you were looking for!?!?!

Go see the doctor, do what he says and don't do anything to disrupt the healing process...listen to your body and do something about it....
