Hello all. I have been checking out this forum for a while so I thought I'd join. Besides, I need to amp up the level in the arcade a bit. I have been playing golf for about 15 years now and I'm terrible. At least I was terrible. From the brink of quitting the game forever, I found a pro to take lessons from and everything has changed for me. I have never been this excited about golf before. I'm looking forward to sharing my experiences.
Hi Jason. Great to hear you finally decided to join us. I think I need to take some lessons myself. I've never had any formal instruction before but I managed to get myself down to an 8 handicap without any. I'm kind of in a "slump" (like Tiger, LOL) right now as my slice has reappeared and I have been seriously contemplating taking lessons. Hopefully they will work for me as they have for you. Look forward to hearing from you more.
Good to have you here, Jason. Lessons can really help, no doubt. I'm glad that they have invigorated your interest in golf. Keep us updated on your progress.
Victory, you should definitely find the right guy and take a lesson or two. He or she will be able to cure your slice in no time. For me, the cure was turning over my hands during my backswing. I can't slice now if I tried.
A long-distance fan... cool. I try to root for the Phillies, myself, even though I'm here in Minnesota. Saw them beat the Twins (twice) in Minneapolis a couple of weeks ago, during inter-league play. Twins are currently losing to the ChiSox, as you may know.
