Hello everyone

I started playing on july this year and I really love this game. I'm 30+ years of age and hcp is 30-

I tried reading few finnish golf forums but it seems most people there are really really arrogant. Game used to be somewhat elitist in Finland and it seems some people try to keep it that way. Biggest fun seems to be to shoot down new people and their questions. Lucky for me I understand english well so I'm not limited only to finnish forums This is not always the case with all people taking up the game (especially older people)

Looking forward to get great advices and eventually also help others with their game

Well, you're certainly welcome here, Janus...you'll find some arrogance here, as well, but there's plenty of sincere help and advice to more than balance it out. We have lots of good folks here from all over the world from beginner novices to seasoned ex-pros who will be more than happy to help you with your game and listen to your views. I know I speak for others when I say we'd like to hear more about golf in Finland, good or bad, just to give us an idea of what it's like there. How is the weather in Finland this time of year?

About the weather in Finland. I live in southern part of Finland and temperature has been around minus 5 to +8 Celcius (23-45F) for the past mont now. It's been rather warm this year and hasn't really been snowing yet either but we've got so much rain it's not even funny

This means the real season is basically over until up to mid april or so. At my club you can still play but to green are closed so you have to play in winter greens (which means hole in fairway basically) Some folks plays even in the snow and I've been thinking of trying that at some point during this winter.
