Hello Everyone,
My name is Jon-Kyle Mohr. I'm 14 years young and am finding golf to be quite a fun game. I do freelance web development in my spare time, along with flying Cessna 172R aircraft for Civil Air Patrol out of KMQY.
I've been golfing on and off for a couple years. Only recently have I started developing a proper swing (if you can call mine that). This week I've started working with woods. I'm able to hit a 3 wood 180-220 yards, but I tend to hook it off to the right, sometimes 25 yards or so off target. I'm fortunate, as I have a rather large soccer complex across the street from my house, which is well maintained may I add, so I can go over to do everything from chipping to whipping out the driver. I usually go out a couple times everyday for around half an hour or so just to work on my swing.
I'm also in the market for some new irons. I'm looking at the Nike Slingshots, but they are a bit out of budget. If I were using them for playing a couple times a week on a course I'd go ahead and invest. Any suggestions for a set of irons from $250-$400 (or so) are welcomed!
I join a forum for pretty much every hobby I'm interested in, and this seems to be the place to be for golf discussion. I'm sure you guys will be seeing a bit of me here, especially in the "Golf Tips" section
The Nike CPR irons can be found for a nice price on Ebay. Great clubs, especially for a mid to high handicapper. Plus they provide more forgiveness than the slingshots, at a cheaper price. Win win situation if you ask me.
Thanks for the recomendation. I just got a call from a friend who works at the local club house. They just got in a set of Nike NDS clubs, he can sell them to me for a steal, $295! He said that they are slightly used, but after all, I'm just gonna be wack'n balls with them anyways.
Yup, the NDS set is good as well. I would saw the NDS is a combination of the CPR and Slingshot models. 295 is a steal for their irons, as for their woods. . . no comment. :) btw welcome to GR.
Jon-Kyle from reading your opening post for 14 years you are doing some very interesting things, hope you enjoy your stay here at Golf-Rewind and look forward to reading your post.

Sure, BDR. http://areosoft.com (typo is intentional) is my freelance web development homepage, those three sites are some of my best work. I need to add http://tillycryar.com soon :)
My personal site ( http://meltedpixel.com ) is still under development, for the 50th time this year :P. I can't seem to make anything for my self that I like, ah well. I have a lot more work online, I just need to get it all together!

You've got talent Jon-Kyle. Keep it up. I too do some web development / design, as well as server administration, and random projects here and there. Started doing HTML when I was 10 (now 15), and some JavaScript at 11.
I thought GolfRewind was full of people with no technical knowledge / relation whatsoever, but I guess you guys prove me wrong.
