Just found this site yesterday, what a great place for a long time die hard golfer to land in the dead of winter. Next best thing to teeing off with the smell of spring in the air. Lots of great info and fellow golfers, feels like home already! So glad to be here,
Welcome to Golf Rewind GolfKen. Even if you are another Buckeye. Lots of great members and lots of golf to talk about!
"Go Bucks?" Yeah...Go Directly to NCAA probation. Do Not Pass Class. But make sure to Collect $200.00 or more (the players are good at that part!). Seems like OSU plays their won version of Monopoly!
Welcome GolfKen. Like has been said before, lots of Buckeye fans here, so you should fit in well with them. I look forward to hearing from you as the season creeps closer and closer for those of us in the northern climes. :nodsmiley
Welcome to Golf Rewind, Ken. Glad you found us. As you've noticed, we're a friendly group, and we're growing all the time. Look forward to hearing from you often!
Welcome to Golf Rewind! I'm an Illini fan so while I don't care much for the Buckeyes, it's great to have another Big Ten guy on board. Glad you found us!
good question, I guess being all the way from New Zealand, being called a Buckeye sounds pretty whacky (okay Michiganders, I know what you're thinkin' :) anyway, here's what it is, the buckeye nut comes from the American Indian word "hetuck" which means eye-of-a-buck (white tail deer). This nut is the fruit of the Buckeye tree. There are several varieties of Buckeye trees, but the type which became the mascot of The Ohio State University is the Ohio Buckeye. So fans of OSU are called Buckeyes.
