Hi from Sunny South Carolina

Hi,

I am new to golf and have a lot of ?'s I am taking lessons from the local pro and want to get my three boys and wife involved as well. We are in upstate SC, but my parents do own a house in Myrtle Beach (golf capital of the world it seems). I am joining a league in march and just bought a starter set from Wal Mart on clearance for 69.00 (was regular 169)...my coach said it is fine for now, to spend money on lessons (HMMM, I wonder if he is biased)....anyway just wanted to say hi and I have learned a lot from this site. I have only played 3 times so far scores 116, 109, and a low of 53 on nine (was playing with an older gentleman who only wanted to play nine that day)....so hopefully I can get better. If anyone is nearby and can get away for a round during the week let me know...I work weekends and I am off Mon-thurs. Would even consider borrowing the beach house and there are a lot of bargains this time of year on fees down there.

Wil

Welcome to Golf Rewind Wil, as a beginner you will no doubt find this place helpful in answering any questions you may have. Also, make sure to check out all the different sections we have here, including the 19th Hole, where we chat about the things we enjoy away from the course.

Welcome to Golf Rewind, Wil. From what you say about where your game is right now, lessons seem a good investment. (That's my 2 cents, anyway.) Glad to hear from you. Hope you enjoy this site.
