Hello to everyone on this site. I just want to say hope you all play well next time you go out.

Hey there Stapes10. (Ben) I am hoping to get out this weekend and hit the sticks. Have you been out yet? I have played 9 holes at a course thats open all year. It was a little slippery but fun.
Welcome, stapes10. Hope you like it here. A small request: Wait at least a month before you report on your beautiful weather there in San Diego. Some of us northern dwellers just wouldn't be able to take it. Seriously, glad to have you here at Golf Rewind.
Thanks for all the greetings very greatful. Didn't expect it that's for sure. I have a question for you all. Hopefully someone can help me. What is the requirement exactly for G.I.R. (greens in regulation) is it getting on and having a putt for birdie. Some one please help me......
Thank you
ben

You've got a GIR if you hit a Par 3 green with your tee shot, a Par 4 with your second shot, and a Par 5 with your third shot. Of course if you make it onto the putting surface in less shots, that also counts as a GIR.
Thank you very much leaguegolf that will be a great help when i go out this weekend i just wasnt sure how to keep track of that stat. again thank you very much.
Thanks, stapes10. I hope you play well the next time out too. In any case tell us about it. We're a good shoulder to cry on and just an all-around great sounding board. Happy posting.
