This is my first post and I am looking forward to learning as much as possible about this game of golf. I am a female and have been playing golf for about 4 years (1-2 times per week). I have been looking into purchasing a new set of clubs this year. I have it narrowed down to a set of Nancy Lopez Torri Hybrids. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find any reviews or opinions on these clubs on the net. Has anyone out there heard anything? Thanks so much.

How tall are you? My wife just took up the game and I bought her a new set of clubs. She is 5'8", and women's clubs are too short for her. They are made for someone that is around 5'4", I think. Maybe you should go get fitted for the right clubs for you.
Welcome to Golf Rewind Nicola. There is a great group of people here who will be more than willing to help you in any way possible. Hi BamaGolf: Thank you for the welcome and for the interest. I am 5' 2" and specifically I have an interest in the Torri set as they are made for shorter women. Also, I am not a strong hitter and my swing seems to be more adept for hitting woods. Currently, I have the 3, 5 and 7 wood, and a 13 wood, 5, 7 irons, (which I rarely use) a 9 iron (which I occasionally use). These clubs are the first clubs I've had and I want to invest in a good set. I have gone to get fitted but just didn't like what was offered. Then I found the Torri set, and of course the retailer is going to tell me wonderful things about them. I tried them out in the store and was pleased with the way they felt, but obviously that isn't a real situation and at over $1,000 for a set of 10, I would have liked to get some feedback from others who may have had some experience with these clubs. They are new on the market (last year) so I may be out of luck.
You're welcome, and you might would like to try the new Callaway GESGame Enjoyment System), they are a hybrid set of clubs which in their theory make it easy for women to hit. If not these, my wife's boss, who is a PGA prof, says that Taylor Made makes fantastic women's clubs. Hope I could help!

Welcome, Nicola. Keep us "posted" on how your adventure in purchasing goes. Make the best choice you can from the final options, and then fight off any feeling of "buyer's remorse" that people sometimes get. Let us hear from you on other topics, too!
