I hit 'em. Really like them. I'm not one to work the ball much(on purpose anyway ), but they are long and straight. Solid feel at impact. Probably the most consistent set I have owned.

I just picked up a set of Wilson Deep Red II Distance irons with UST stiff graphite shafts about a month and half ago and I'm REALLY STARTING to hit the ball well with these clubs.

I've made some swing adjustments since I got these clubs which include moving my hands a little closer to my body. The result is much crisper contact and an increase in distance. I've gone from hitting a 6 iron from about 165 to 170 yards to about 180 yards. Overall I'm see about a 15 yard increase in distance on just about every iron.

Whether irons or woods name brand is NOT important. The most important thing is having a high quality set which is fit for your swing. whether the proper amount of offset and lie angle and also the correct loft for your swing. buying a set of OEM clubs off the rack because of namebrand is not going to help your swing as much as a great fitting set fit for YOU>

I would love to agree with you that name brand is not important, but it is. You tell me, if you could have a set of Ping G5's custom fitted to your body, swing, etc..or a set of say Tour Edge irons set up the same way, which ones do you seriously think you would buy?
