TaylorMade RAC LT Irons Review

I have been using these clubs for about a year now. These are the first set of name brand irons that I have used. I used discount store clubs prior. I don't have much experience with other iron sets so I don't have anything to compare them with. I bought these because I wanted something between a blade and the super offsets. I thought I would have alot of difficulty getting the ball in the air because of the 'low trajectory' name. Not hardly! I would hate to see what the Ht's do. They are shafted with rifle 6.0 shafts which is probably stiffer than I need (ss 100mph driver) but I do hit well with them or as much as my talent will allow. I am approximately an 18-20 handicap and like these clubs very much. Anybody else shooting them and have comments?

Any new comments on these since you got them? They are toward the top of my list for my upcoming purchase.

Like you, I am looking for something between the big offset/oversized and a blade. I figure I have the ball striking for a blade, but I just don't think it's worth it to me. I am a 7 handicap but a working-class stiff that only gets to play about 3-4 rounds per week...AND only from April through November. Point being, if I find myself taking some time off, I don't want to have blades if I am feeling rusty.

Did you wind up putting these in your bag?

If so, how do you like them?

If not, what did you wind up with and why?

As a matter of fact, I DID buy them. On Saturday. They haven't come in yet for me to pick them up. Should be about 2 weeks.

You'll have to check out some of my other threads, but I had some trouble getting the face closed at impact. No worries, still snow on the ground!

However, I bought the LT2's, which may be the 2005 models. Not sure.
