I use the Nickent Genex Titanium irons, ST-90 Speed Tip iron shafts, I had an opportunity to buy Ping's, Titelist, Nike's etc. etc. certainly not knocking any other irons by any means but my Nickent equipment is outstanding. Very high quality product, equipped with Winn grips, the irons have a polymer insert and the feel of the ball off the face is excellent. I use their 460 driver, a three wood and two hybrids all equipped with Aldila NV shafts and to round it off I use their " Pipe " putter which to be honest has increased my percentage of 3-4 foot putts by around fifty percent. I love the two "Arc" wedges ( 52 & 56 ) I'm a Nickent man, top notch equipment, without the " big name " price.
I was very close to buying the 3dx series irons. I also have two of their ironwood hybrids and also their pipe putter. I really can't say enough about the putter. I own 3 ping, 2 oddesey and the zebra. This thing just gives so much confidence at address. I have been very happy with the performance of their hybrids. I can only imagine how good their irons are because the guy that designed, John Hoeflich ( or something like that), used to be the dude for callaway I believe.
I have Nickent 3DX and I love them. Mine comes with from PW-5irons, 3-4hybrid.
Actually there were recommended by my golf teacher. I'm not a very strong person she said I need something that is with softer shaft, and more forgiving clubs. They are very very easy to hit you dont need any effort at all to go long. This helps me alot on the course. With the clubs doing all the work so i dont get tried too early.
I have recently bought the Nickent GH Plus Tour forged Irons. They came with Precision Rifle shafts. The clubs feel great! I had tried the FP Cobras and really liked them, but the Nickents were $199 (on clearence), and the Cobras were $499. Overall, a great club regardless of price.
I recently purchased the 3DX Pro irons. They look absolutely fantastic and I am more accurate than with my previous Cobras on the driving range. I will hopefully play this weekend and give an update as to how they work for me under actual playing conditions.
I almost got the 3DX Hybrid irons ('longest irons in golf') but all they did was make the lofts stronger. Doesn't that mean it is even harder to hit the 5 and 6 irons (since they are more like a 3 and 4 iron)? I cannot imagine trying to hit a 3 and 4. It's probably like a 1 and 2 iron.
Well, I have gotten to play 9 holes and 18 holes with my new irons, Nickent 3DX Pros, and the results were great. I shot my best 18 in over ten years. This is not strictly from the clubs as I have been working really hard on my game lately, but the hard work and new irons have paid dividends. The biggest difference I notice with these is the feel and feedback they give versus my previous Cobras. I know instantly how well (or poorly) I've struck the ball. They are still quite forgiving on mis-hits, but communicate the quality of the strike to me. I bought these thinking they would be a good stepping stone from game improvement cavity backs to traditional forged blades and my early results would indicate they will exactly fill that role.
I think Nickent makes clubs of excellent quality. The only gripes I get at the pro shop are the crazy strong lofts on their GI models. I think their 9-iron is 40 degrees. The only hassle associated with the stronger lofts is the need for another Gap or Pitching wedge to make a consistent yardage gap for your shorter clubs.
