Ping Rapture Irons Review

What do you guys think about the new ping driver.. Is it possible they have made a driver uglier then the sasquatch??? But how do u think the performance difference between the G5 and the rapture will be?

I have the 6 and 7 iron Raptures. They are forgiving and easy to get into the air. Very pleased with them.

ping rapture is certainly the best irons out there the price can get you. i've just tried them along with many others along the price range. its by far the best one i tried. i'm not good in golf and i can never hit the sweet spot perfectly unless i was lucky. but each time, the ball went straight and far. it looks great too. you definately have to buy these clubs. i'm gonna drop in golf town again next week to pick em up as a gift from my dad.

I liked how these irons felt but the head seemed to big at address so i went with a slightly smaller head and got the I5's.

I love my new Rapture irons.

I ordered the 5-9 and all 4 wedges in Nov. of 06 and received them in Feb. 07. I am a Ping iron fanatic and have been playing them since they first came out in the early 70’s. I have owned Ping Rails, Eye2, Zing2 and I3+ Oversize irons. Each model has been an improvement over the last and the Raptures were a significant “step up” from the I3s. They are much more forgiving and about a club longer.

I currently play ghe G5's. I went to the local golf store and some guy had traded in his Rapture driver and Rapture irons. Of course I couldn't bare to not try them out. I was actually shopping around for these irons before I picked up my G5's. They were so new, no one had any used Raptures at the time. Anyhow, the driver feels absolutely solid. The irons however are very dull. The feel just throws me off. It's so muted and I can't tell if it was a solid contact or a mis-hit. Kinda confusing when you're actually playing. I'm glad I picked up the G5s. Although the technology and performance is there but just not for me.
