Anyone have the Srixon I-506 irons? I have recently added them to my list of possible candidates for my bag this season=) TM TPs, Mizumo MP-60s, Callaway X-20 Tours are the current runners. Any info on the Srixons would be great-- Thanks!
Put the brigestone j33s on the list as well...my friend is playing the tourstage japanese issue that is very similar and I think that I am in love...I offered to trade my mp60s but he just laughed...oh well

I just got back from a Rockbottom.com golf sale and they had the J-33's for 400.00. They also had the Srixon AD 403's for 330.00 and a set of Yonex V mass forged for 300.00. My head was spinning but I decided to wait and try the Srixons and Bridgestones along with the others before pulling the trigger. Also, they had an old set of gorgeous copper Pings for 400.00. The model was sts, or lts, or something similar to that. They were so cool if they were 250.00 or so I might have spurged.
Don't get me wrong...the Srixon's are very good and like I said in another thread can be had fairly inexpensively...as are the mp 60s (bought those after all) except for the inexpensive part...the bridgestone was very impressive and had a great balance to them, but like all clubs try for yourself if you are able as beauty is in the eye of the beholder...
The new nike forged cavity backs (cci, cgi?) are getting good reviews as well, but aren't in the bargain range yet...mp 30s are good but I have found that mp 33s (full musclebacks) are easier to hit than these and that isn't a good thing when looking to balance workability with forgiveness like most player cavity types attempt to do...

Yes; very true. I found the Srixons (new I 506) on Click and Save Golf for 5 and change, but I refuse to buy until I've spent an hour or more "getting to know them." To use an analogy I'm used to a tempermental sports car with no cushion, safety, and reliability, and would like to ease into something comfy-- without getting myself into a minivan, so to speak.
KZG forged irons, If you don't add these you are missing the best of the best. Forged in Japan instead of China these have a better feel than any other forged irons on the market. Have been and continue to be played by the top players until the OEM companies come calling with their checkbook to play there clubs.
